HIPS (high-impact polystyrene) for refrigerator liners, appliance parts, trays and thermoformed packaging. Send an RFQ.
HIPS is polystyrene toughened with polybutadiene rubber. It is opaque, easy to thermoform and much tougher than GPPS, at a lower cost than ABS.
Grades differ in rubber content (impact strength), gloss and resistance to fats and blowing agents.

Usually no drying needed. Typical melt temperature 190–240 °C for molding; sheet extrusion for thermoforming at a similar range.
General guidance only; follow the producer's TDS for each grade.
HIPS is cheaper and easier to thermoform; ABS has higher gloss, scratch resistance and chemical resistance.
