Polyphenylene oxide (PPO) is one of the world's five general-purpose engineering plastics. It has the advantages of high rigidity, high heat resistance, flame retardant, high strength and excellent electrical properties. PPO has good flame retardancy and self-extinguishing properties: the oxygen index of PPO is 29, which is a self-extinguishing material. When making flame retardant PPO, halogen flame retardants are not required, and phosphorus-containing flame retardants can be added to achieve UL94 standard, thereby reducing environmental pollution.
