ABS resin is resistant to water, inorganic salts, bases and acids, insoluble in most alcohols and hydrocarbon solvents, but easily soluble in aldehydes, ketones, esters and some chlorinated hydrocarbons. ABS resin thermal deformation temperature is low flammable, heat resistance is poor. The melting temperature is 217~237℃, and the thermal decomposition temperature is above 250℃.
Medical ABS plastic resin is the largest and most widely used polymer. It organically unifies the various properties of PB, PAN, and PS, and has excellent mechanical properties of toughness, hardness, and rigid phase balance. ABS is a terpolymer of acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene, A stands for acrylonitrile, B stands for butadiene, and S stands for styrene. After actual use, it was found that: ABS plastic pipes have good performance due to their three compositions; acrylonitrile endows ABS resin with chemical stability, oil resistance, certain stiffness and hardness; butadiene makes it tough and impact The performance and cold resistance have been improved; styrene makes it have good dielectric properties and presents good processability.
Medical-grade ABS is usually not fire-resistant and flame-retardant. If it is made of fire-resistant, it is indeed difficult to pass the medical-grade standard due to the addition of flame retardants. Therefore, the flame-retardant grade of medical-grade ABS is HB, and the fire resistance grade is low. The fluidity of medical-grade ABS is medium, that is, the melt index is 11 g/10min. The temperature resistance of medical-grade ABS is not high, and the heat distortion temperature is 94 °C. , the grade of the material is higher, and it is mainly used in medical devices such as asthma inhalers, surgical knife handles and medical care products.
