As an insulating material, PP is easy to accumulate charges on the surface. These charges are easy to absorb dust and cause damage to precision electronic devices. With the increasing application of PP in the field of packaging materials, especially in electronic and electrical products and food packaging, the antistatic performance of PP is required, which requires the addition of antistatic agents to solve this problem. Antistatic agents for PP are mainly divided into internal antistatic agents and external antistatic agents. The internal antistatic agent commonly used in polypropylene is a chemical compound with an amphiphilic structure, that is, it contains two groups of hydrophilic and lipophilic. After being added to polypropylene, the antistatic agent will migrate to the surface and form on the surface of polypropylene. A hydrophilic layer can absorb water molecules, thereby reducing the surface resistivity of polypropylene and eliminating static charges.
