Unmodified nylon has poor flame retardancy, is a flammable material, and drips during combustion, which is very easy to cause a fire during use. Especially in the field of electronic products, countless fires have been caused by nylon, causing great losses. If the flame retardancy of nylon is not improved, its application range will be greatly limited.

The traditional halogen-containing flame-retardant PA6 can obtain a good flame-retardant effect, but it will cause "secondary disasters" due to the release of a large amount of smoke and hydrogen gas that irritate the eyes and respiratory system. In particular, PBDB and PBDBE will produce dioxins, which may cause metabolic disorders in the human body and cause tension, insomnia, headache, eye diseases, arteriosclerosis, liver tumors, etc. Symptoms, found in animal experiments can lead to cancer. On the other hand, it is quite difficult to dispose or recycle these halogen-containing wastes, so the use of halogen-containing flame retardants is greatly restricted.

Since inorganic flame retardant PA6 has the advantages of good thermal stability, non-volatility, low toxicity, low corrosion, low smoke or smoke suppression, and high efficiency, its consumption is increasing year by year. Inorganic flame retardant PA6 can absorb a large amount of heat during combustion, making it difficult to increase the combustion temperature, thereby achieving flame retardancy.
