PBT keyboard raw plastic material

PBT materials have excellent toughness and fatigue resistance, good heat and weather resistance, excellent electrical properties, low water absorption, comprehensive performance, and wide applications. Strengthening and flame retardant modification can significantly improve its heat resistance, modulus, dimensional stability, and flame retardancy. PBT materials are widely used in industries such as automobiles and electronics, and have excellent mechanical properties, especially high rigidity and hardness. They have good heat resistance, and can reach a thermal deformation temperature of over 180C. They have good surface gloss properties, especially suitable for fast crystallization speed and good flowability of spray free electronic and electrical products, Excellent formability and good thermal stability, especially with low thermal expansion rate and size shrinkage rate. It is resistant to chemicals, solvents, weather, high dielectric strength, good electrical performance, low moisture absorption, and has minimal impact on electrical and dimensional stability.

Common modification methods for PBT materials:

1. Enhanced modification: By adding glass fiber to PBT, the bonding force between glass fiber and PBT resin is good. Adding a certain amount of glass fiber to PBT resin can not only maintain its original advantages such as chemical resistance and processability, but also significantly improve its mechanical properties and overcome the sensitivity of PBT resin to notches.

2. Flame retardant modification: PBT is a crystalline aromatic polymer. If no flame retardant is added, its flame retardancy belongs to UL94HB level. Only after adding flame retardant can it reach UL94V0 level. Commonly used flame retardants include halogenated flame retardants such as compounds, S203, phosphides, and nitrides.

3. Blended alloy modification. The main purpose of blending PBT with other polymers is to improve notch impact strength, improve warping deformation caused by molding shrinkage, and improve heat resistance. Blending is widely used domestically and internationally to modify it. The polymers used for blending modification of PBT mainly include PC, PET, etc. This type of product is mainly used in automobiles, electronics, and electric tools, and the proportion of fiberglass applications varies in different fields.
