Medical grade polypropylene polymer

Medical PP plastic has high transparency, good barrier and radiation resistance, which make it widely used in medical equipment and packaging industries.

The characteristics of medical PP plastic: PP plastic is colorless, odorless and non-toxic. It looks like polyethylene, but is more transparent and lighter than polyethylene. PP is a thermoplastic with excellent performance. It has the advantages of small specific gravity, non-toxicity, easy processing, impact resistance and flex resistance. Main properties of medical polypropylene plastic High temperature sterilization: Polypropylene plastic is a semi-crystalline material with high melting point and good heat resistance, and can be sterilized above 100°C. Yield strength, tensile strength, compressive strength, hardness and elasticity are all higher than polyethylene (PE).

Low temperature resistance and impact resistance: the homopolymer PP is relatively brittle, while the random copolymer PP synthesized with ethylene has better toughness and stronger impact strength. For products that are usually used at low temperatures, PP should be copolymerized or modified by adding thermoplastic rubber to increase its flexibility and impact resistance at low temperatures. Non-PVC infusion bags are made of PP copolymer and elastomer. PP is a non-polar material with low adsorption capacity for drugs.
