It is an excellent electrical insulating material, and its arc resistance time is also longer. The chemical stability is quite good. In addition to being corroded by strong oxidizing acids, such as concentrated sulfuric acid, concentrated nitric acid and aqua regia, it is not corroded by most acid-base salts, and has a chemical stability close to that of PTFE. It is insoluble in any known organic solvents below 175 degrees Celsius, and the plastic parts will not crack when PPS is in contact with general organic solvents.

Chemical resistance: At present, no solvent that can dissolve polyphenylene sulfide below 200 ° C has been found, and it is extremely resistant to inorganic acids, alkalis and salts. Not resistant to chlorinated biphenyls and oxidizing acids, oxidants, aqua regia, hydrogen peroxide and sodium hypochlorite, etc.

Machinery industry: PPS is especially used in the preparation of parts in high humidity and strong corrosive environments in the machinery industry. Used for casing, structural parts, wear-resistant parts and sealing materials, such as: pump casing, pump wheel, valve, bearing, bearing bracket, piston ring and gear, pulley, fan, flow meter parts, flange, universal Heads, counters, levels, etc.

Chemical industry: PPS has excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance, and is extremely suitable as a lining for chemical equipment.
