PBT fiber has excellent elasticity, alkali resistance, and easy dyeing properties, and is widely used in various elastic clothing and interwoven fabrics to improve texture and properties.
The main uses of PBT elastic yarn include:
(1) PBT elastic cloth, woven from PBT elastic silk, has good elasticity and antibacterial properties. It can be made into a special hygiene product with softness and resilience, and can be used for medical bandages and bandage substrates.
(2) PBT/PET composite fiber is a modified polyester variety that combines the characteristics of synthetic fibers such as polyester, nylon, and spandex. It has good post-processing performance and is lower in price than pure PBT fiber. The fabric spun with this composite fiber has good hand feel, high elasticity, and excellent dyeing properties. The clothes made have the advantages of comfortable wearing, no deformation, and neatness. Various knitted and woven fabrics produced by PBT/PET composite fibers, such as suit fabrics, shirt fabrics, bodybuilding clothes, etc. Blending PBT/PET composite fibers with cotton can also develop stretch swimsuits, stretch swimwear, tight underwear, stretch functional clothing, and sports clothing.
(3) PBT-II modified fiber is a type of wool-like copolymer vinegar fiber developed in recent years. Downstream enterprises use this fiber to make wool-like fabrics that feel soft, plump, and have a good woolly texture. The low wool content products produced have a high wool content style, good heat resistance, and good simulation results.
PBT monofilament is mainly used for making brush filaments and fake hair filaments, among which brush filaments mainly include oil brushes, makeup brushes, high-end paint brushes, toothbrushes, etc.
(1) Paint brushes are an ideal alternative due to the excellent elasticity and flexibility of PBT in a situation where animal hair is decreasing and market demand is increasing. Initially, nylon PP and PET were used, but the high price of nylon and the hard PET and PP fibers limited their promotion and use. After the industrial production of PBT resin, PBT silk replaced pigs and was quickly promoted and used.
(2) Hair wig is another major use of PBT resin in the field of drawing. The main raw materials for hair wig are PBT, PP, PET, PVC, PA, etc. Developed and produced by Japan and South Korea, the annual production volume of fake hair in China is currently about 4000 tons, of which PBT fake hair has a production volume of about 1000 tons. Most of the products are exported to foreign countries. PBT has a wide variety of wigs, with no less than 100 types of wig colors, mainly including daily wigs, evening wigs, Christmas wigs, Halloween wigs, fan wigs, and other major categories. Due to its environmentally friendly, non-toxic, bright color, easy to shape, and direct contact with the human body, PBT wig silk is becoming increasingly popular among people.
(3) Toothbrush wire and PBT wire are the preferred materials for high-end toothbrush bristles due to their excellent properties such as good elasticity, anti lodging, easy coloring, and easy sharpening. With the improvement of people's living standards, more and more attention is paid to oral health, and the demand for PBT soft bristles will increase.
